What's it all about?

​

All persistent uncomfortable feelings or unhelpful patterns of behaviour stem from an emotional root.

When we're in a distressing situation or circumstance, and the brain isn't able to process it in the moment, it gets stored in the mind in an unorganised way, and this creates a negative association to whatever the experience was. Most of us have a collection of these uncomfortable and unprocessed memories lurking in our subconcious minds, and these can go on to impact our feelings and behaviour for the rest of our lives. During a session with me, we are able to directly access the root of the problem and swiftly reorganise it, to discharge negative emotion. The effects are often immediate, and the change is lasting.

                                                              

 

What can this therapy help with?

Most things! I appreciate it sounds too good to be true, but the range of problems I have seen positive change with, in both my personal experience and in working with clients is vast.

Whether you're struggling with recurring negative thoughts/emotions, painful memories or mental health challenges, I am condfident we can create positive shifts together. This includes PTSD, depression, childhood issues, phobias and much more.

Do I have to talk about my problems or share personal information?

​

No! A lot of therapies involve talking about our issues  and this can often become repetitive and yield little progress or change, or can even be retraumatising.

The form of eye movement therapy I use is remarkable, in that it does not require you to disclose anything about the memories or issues you're looking to work on unless you choose to share them, and the therapy can be just as effective.

What happens during a session?

​

We meet via a video call or in person. I'll ask you very some simple questions to find a starting point, then continue the session using eye movements to shift unwanted feelings. Again, all your past experiences and memories stay private unless you choose to discuss them. This is not a talking therapy, but a practical and efficient tool to directly address and resolve a huge range of issues.

What if I want change, but don't know where my problems stem from? 

​

If you feel like you're struggling, but are not sure exactly what needs addressing or where to start, that is totally fine! You do not need to prepare for our session in anyway, as I will guide you during the session to find the areas that would be most impactful.

​What type of therapy is it?

​

I work using my own theraputic approach, developed from IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy), a rapid and highly effective form of therapy, using eye movements to discharge negative emotion. It is heavily rooted in the process of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).
